New York City’s Green Markets

New York City has a number of Farmer’s Markets located in every borough. My favorite, and arguably the largest and best, is the Union Square Green Market.

Something to note… in my 20+ years of living here I’ve never found better, more affordable produce, than that sold at the green markets around town.

Taking place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and of course the biggest day, Saturday, it has everything you could think of. From a wild assortment of (seasonal) vegetables and fruit, meat and fish, eggs, cheeses and anything dairy, breads (gluten free options available) and local wines and boozes you can do all of your grocery shopping in one place. They even have some wild card players as well like candlemakers, honey producers, herb growers, etc.
